Top 10 of 2013

It's that time again... I have been so behind in the last few weeks but now I'm over the mountain of the holidays and ready for the new year!  2013 was an exciting art and crafty time for me.  Lots of opportunities!  I actually got over my head in responsibilities and had to step down from a couple teams.  Now, I'm in a really amazing place and 2014 looks like another creative year!

Here are my favorite projects from 2013 in no particular order:
 1. Snow Play-  Prima
 2. Paper Camera- Prima
Made completely from cardboard and paper!  I made this for winter CHA for Prima.
 3. Altered Paintbrush
 4. Love & Respect- I love this one.  It was for Scrapbooking From The Inside Out and is a reminder of my marriage even when things get hard, we still love and respect each other.
 5.  Encaustic Dwelling- I got 1st place at the NYS Fair for this art piece.  It's wood, metal and encaustic!  I Adore this one!  It's one full of symbolism and family love.
 6. Moment -  Lots of paper, modeling paste, and gesso here!  I love this photo of my boys.  Just sweet!
7. Create Accordian book-  Gesso techniques shared on UStream for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft.
 8.  A very special project done for CHA!
 9.  Beach- Mostly cardboard and embellishments from Punky Sprouts for a Blog Hop on Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft blog
10.   My latest journal page for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft's blog... coming up soon! I love the board book journals from them and of course the Textural Accents media and Gelatos!

Well, it's been a dramatic year and I am hoping 2014 is a much calmer, creative and happy year!  I wish you all a beautiful New Year!!!

Elfie and Announcement

It's been a crazy ride this season!  I can't believe Christmas is only about a week away!  I am in such a panic right now!  We have had our little friend, Elfie back to visit.  Here is a little picture documentation of his antics!
 Elfie returns!!!

Mark's birthday surprise... Elfie papered his door!
Mark didn't want to break it so he did an army crawl out.

 A little gift from Elfie.
Elfie and Santa doll... notice the rubber band bracelet?  Mark made it for Elfie!
 Happy Birthday Daddy...

Elfie hanging out with my Nana's Elves...
Uh oh... the kids were not good listeners. Warning #1
 Make your wish lists, kids!
 Lifting weights (marshmellow weight)
Minecraft fun!  Elfie has a Creeper head on!

Elfie has a black belt!!
Uh oh... another warning!  The kids were not listening and were arguing with each other and with me! They are taking this very seriously right now.  Hope it lasts!
Elfie is looking very disapproving...

We are having such fun with these antics!  The kids are a bit wild and crazy this time of year.

So, in the meantime  I have an exciting announcement!
I am rejoining the Scrapbooking From the Inside Out DT starting in January!  I love their whole approach to documenting life and emotions plus they have gorgeous kits!
Here's the post: SFTIO announcement

Hope you are well (I'm recovering from ANOTHER sinus infection) and getting ready for the holidays!   Talk to you later!

It's that time of year when school is letting out and I wanted to make a cute teacher gift!   I will be getting a potted flower and putting them in this decorated pot with the flower decorations.  So cute!  I used the Naturals and Poppy line from Little Yellow Bicycle.
JenMatottLYBandDMC09I colored the canvas butterflies with Gelatos with a bit of water to blend.
